The Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Mark 13:31; John 8:31-32; John 20:31; Acts 20:32

The Trinity
We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and that these three are one God.

Genesis 1:1, 26; John 1:1, 3; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24; Romans 1:19-20; Ephesians 4:5-6

God the Father
We believe that God is a living, spiritual person who has revealed himself through creation, through conscience, through his complete, authoritative, inspired Word, and through the person of his Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that he infallibly foreknows all that shall come to pass, that he concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that he hears and answers prayer, and that he saves from sin and death all who come to him through Jesus Christ.

Exodus 3:14; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 19:1; Matthew 23:9; Luke 10:21,22; John 3:16; 4:24; 6:27; Romans 1:7, 19-20; 1 Timothy 1:1-2; 2:5-6; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:2; 1 Peter 1:3; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 1:6

God the Son
We believe that the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to be born of a virgin, to live a sinless life, to perform mighty signs, and to be crucified and rise bodily from the grave on the third day. We believe that he ascended to the Father’s right hand to be the Head of the church and to intercede for all believers and that he is coming again personally and bodily to this earth.

Isaiah 7:14; Acts 1:11; 2:22; 1 Corinthians. 15:1-4; Ephesians 1:20-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 4:15

God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that he is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; 16:9-14; Romans 8:9, 16-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Galatians 3:26-27; 5:22-26; Ephesians 5:18

Salvation
We believe that man was created by God in his own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation. We believe that mankind’s only hope of salvation is through the redemption provided by Jesus Christ. Man must receive this gift by grace alone, apart from good works, believing on the finished work of Christ on the cross. We know the believer is eternally secure and that his faith will be evidenced by his works.

Genesis. 1:26; 2:17; 3;5:2; Psalm 51:7; Proverbs 28:13; Ecclesiastes 2:11; Jeremiah 17:9; John 1:13; 3:14-16; 5:24-30; 7:13; 8:12; 10:26; Romans 3:19; 5:12-19; 8:1, 38-39; 9:22; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; James 1:14; 2:14; 1 John 1:9; Rev. 19:3, 20; 20:10-15; 21:18

The Church
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship, seeking the following:

  • To glorify God through personal and public worship (Romans 15:6)
  • To edify believers through service, fellowship and teaching (Ephesians 4:12)
  • To evangelize the world through organized and spontaneous witness (Matthew 28:19)
  • To keep our lives pure through personal examination and public accountability (1 Corinthians 5:6-13; 11:28-31; Ephesians 5:26-27; James 1:27b

Acts 1:8; 2:41-42; Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:11-13; 5:19-21; Hebrews 10:23-25

The Last Things
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of his kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal happiness of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked.

Matthew 16:27; Mark 14:62; John 14:3; Acts 1:11; I Corinthians 4:5; I Corinthians 15; Philippians 3:20; I Thessalonians 4:15; II Thessalonians 1:7-10; II Timothy 4:1; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15
