Ephesians 5:19-21 – Three weeks ago, we talked a bit about being “Spirit-filled” and we used the contrast (with drunkenness) and context to shape our understanding.
In the end, Paul is saying: Don’t be filled with wine but be filled with the Spirit. Or: Don’t be controlled by wine (or any other substance) but be controlled by the Spirit.
What we come to now is the end of the paragraph. I’m calling this Three Results when the Spirit’s in Control.
